Purpose of This Reference
Ohio makes many public records available, but a booking image is not kept in the same place as every related record. Sheriff Christopher R. Hodges’ Brown County office administers the jail and the current-custody roster. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction publishes certain state-prison profiles, while BOP and ICE locators serve their own federal custody systems. Local courts record what happens after an arrest. We collect those official starting points, request paths, and practical limits in one place. We do not publish a copy of anyone’s booking image.
Information Available Here
Records are best checked through the office that created or maintains them. The site’s main tools point to the following subjects.
- The home page explains the Brown County custody search, booking-record requests, court follow-up, and correction routes.
- Sheriff's Most Wanted describes the official wanted page and the safe route for a warrant question.
- County city pages identify Georgetown, Mount Orab, and Ripley police contacts alongside the shared jail and court path.
- ODRC, federal locator, and records-request options clarify which agency may hold a later record.
Limits of Our Role
We are a private reference publisher, not an Ohio government agency, Sheriff’s Office, jail, or corrections department. We cannot release or transfer a person, post bond, schedule a visit, obtain a record for someone, or provide legal advice. Agency details can also change, so official contact information should be checked before a visit or request.
Only the relevant Sheriff’s Office, court, or corrections agency can confirm current custody, a charge, a release, or the availability of an official record.
Search Partners
Some pages include search tools supplied by third parties. Those providers set their own results, terms, and prices. If a visitor elects to buy a partner service after a referral, we may receive a fee that helps support the reference site. We do not control a partner’s pricing or search output.
